Cello Concerto - caution required
Schumann's Cello Concerto really needs a top-rank performance from both cellist and conductor to make it enjoyable. Misha Donat in BBC Music Magazine had serious reservations and I would suggest caution with this performance, unless it is the music you are after rather than a good performance.
