Who? Can it Be? Now!

With this album, The Who have reaffirmed their belief that the "Music Must Change" & that's clear with this release, "A Pure Feeling". Whereas in 1967, they sang of "Odorono" a fictional underarm deodorant, they now sing highly of "The Fragrance of the Waffle". It seems Jimmy, the character whose identity crisis, confusion & angst that was the heart of the classic rock opera "Quadrophenia", has resolved his crisis and now says "It Should be Fine". As for those who doubt this is the Who, I point to the song titles themselves "A Fairy of the Water" which refers to the 1973 b-side "Water", "Drowned" and many others. "Christmas Of Each Thought" is a nod to "Christmas" from "Tommy" and the album title itself "A Pure Feeling" references the classic "Pure and Easy". "Meditation" is almost kind of similar to "My Generation" give or take a couple of letters. What's next for The Who? Who knows? With this release I'm ready to get on that Magic Bus, travel with them and find out.

Clever Practical Joke

Neptuneman08

Just when I actually found The Who music, it turned out to be new age piano outtakes that is a few notches below John Tesh/Yanni. This is only recomended for a good laugh to do on your friends.

Don't be fooled.

I think we can safely say that "Who" is not the same as "The Who".

I looked up The Who,trying to find the rock band, and i find this crap. when i seen the picture of the band and read the article that came with it, i was so excited i almost fell out of my chair. Finally, a good band. The album art through me off a little, but i checked it out anyway. Then i found out that it was not really The Who, but rather just Who. somebody screwed up somewhere. shouldn't there be an editor who checks this stuff out? I'm tired of this crap.

Maximum R & B!

To aphexbr.... the funny thing about eMusic is not that this album accidently appeared under the "other" WHO group...but some eMusic writer had to write a thousand word review of The Who, and there's only a couple tracks from compilation albums. Search Neil Young...even funnier.

Not what you might think...

The artist page for the rock band "The Who" includes this album, which is by a completely different group.
