Getting Better All The Time
A very good, though not consistently great, album. Start with the first five tracks and work your way up from there - they still sound a lot like Modest Mouse, but on this record that's mostly because of the vocals. The rest of the band is showing promising hints of Beach Boys and Merseybeat/skiffle influences, only updated with their signature hook-laden, jangly-guitar quirkiness (that last being a word that I doubt they'll appreciate, but I happen to like quirkiness).
