Sappy
I'm a big fan of Marti Jones seminal 80's album "Match Point". She apparently fell off the face of the earth after that. Until now. This album was made with her husband, reknowned producer Don Dixon. About hald the tracks are instrumentals and do nothing for me. The songs with lyrics seem to be mostly about the joy of discovery of being new parents. Nothing wrong with that. Just a bit sappy. Ms. Jones is still in fine voice. I just wish the material was deserving of that fine voice.
