Clearest Vision on emusic from this visionary

I went to get a haircut from my favorite Macedonian clarinet player "DAVID!" enthused - "Ivo Papasov is coming to town - you must go" - I went, jaw dropped at the passion, virtuosity and full embrace of the late 20th Century electric fusion aethestic without the least sacrifice of Bulgarian tradition! Papasov reinvented his cultural heritage and Yuri Yunikov was right there with him - but drummer Salif Ali BLEW MY MIND - it has never been the same. This is Papasov's best set - Yunakov isn't here, but Salif Ali is, and an electric guitarist stabbin' and jammin' both of 'em in the funkiest 11/8 you'll ever hear!

Amazing and absorbing

I've listened to 'Prayer from the Mountain' several times and find the combination of instruments and themes incredible; it all sounds so spontaneous and wild as well. Download this amazing musician, you won't be disappointed.
