Another Skip
She Let Me Run is worth downloading. Florida Silver Springs sounds like it has a skip at 0:16. It's not the first time I've heard ripping flaws in eMusic tracks. Sigh.

this is soft and upbeat.the listeners that will have a problem with this sound are the listeners that joined emusic hoping to find vocalsists that scream "real good". this is one of those bands that i've found at emusic that i'm more than happy to download/.i'd even add this group to my 100 tracks per month if they were charging a fee for them ..but fortunately they're not.this is a very good group/.they're very comfortable to listen to and not so soft that they're boring/.
I found their tracks up-beat and this is an album I can listen to from start to finish ... I wouldn't say it was boring at all and each song kinda rolls in to the next. I could argue that each song sounds similar to the one before, but I really enjoyed their style so I wouldn't say it was such a bad criticism! Definitely well worth the free download!
As TheScar noted, BORING.
Cost is one measure of quality. And NIN aside, free usually means it ain't that good. And this ain't that good. It's gone in the recycle bin.
I remember buying a 7" by these guys about 5 or so years back and loving it, now this free album, way cool! (cos I would've downloaded this anyway, even if it wasn't free!)
This comp is a retrospective from The Impossible Shapes. Two tracks from every album The Impossible Shapes have released on Secretly Canadian (including their upcoming release)...from S.Can's site: The title of THE IMPOSSIBLE SHAPES seventh proper full length is a sigil. A sigil is often used in magic and can take an aural form. This particular sigil is a potent symbol of desire, but, this sigil is unpronounceable - so you can call the album "The Impossible Shapes". Out June 9th!!!
This album is charming, perfect summer music, what a treat! I have never heard of them before but will surely check them out!
First of all, an entire free album, sweeeeet! AND it was a fun listen during the first play through. I hadn't heard of these guys, buy they remind me of Of Montreal. I think I would have dl'd this even if it wasn't free, but it has made me seek out their other stuff-your ploy worked:-) Thanks for going out on a limb and givng this one away. I've now been turned on to a good band I would have otherwise overlooked.
I was psyched to see the Impossible Shapes' album available here - check out their album "We Like It Wild" Their music has that ironic, slightly tongue in cheek and versatile feel of the Shins or the Minders. Get It!
