Don't so much mind the voices - sounds more like poor London street voices like the characters really are. The orchestra is one of the worst synthesized accompaniments I've ever heard - like a $2 kids keyboard. PLEASE don't do that to Sondheim again.
Sweeney Todd may well be Sondheim's masterpiece - all but through sung, macabre, operatic, extravagant - none of these things come through in a workmanlike sing-through that could be sight reading by the cast. Many of the greatest songs are missing (Not While I'm Around, Pretty Women, The Ballad of Sweeney Todd) but that's prob ably for the best as the performances (sic) are mediocre karaoke
