The Pinker Tones, Wild Animals
Label: Nacional Records

"Put a beat of fun in your life" goes the tagline on the Pinker Tones 'MySpace these days. That breezy quote sums up the sound of Wild Animals pretty well. Bouncy beats, goofy synth lines and even a spot of vocoder feature heavily on songs like "S.E.X.Y.R.O.B.O.T." and "Wilde Eleganz." The duo of Mister Furia and Professor Manso seem almost monomaniacal in their obsession to weld all manners of fun together — whether it be rock, salsa, synth pop, hipster lounge or whatever the heck you want to call "The Whistling Song." Luckily, it's an obsession that's worth hearing: this might just be the Pinker Tones most successful batch of beat fun yet.

Brilliant pop music

Wild Animals may not have the immediate bouncing hooks like Karma Hunters and the great Sonido Total remix, but the album as a whole is the Pinker Tones most complete work so far. From start to finish, every track on this record worked its way into my head, and I find myself wanting to come back to it over and over. Great dance grooves, lots of diversity in style and all very fun. Check out SEXYROBOT, since it's a free download (and see the great video, too) but be sure to venture further into the album. It's excellent, crossing cultural styles and languages and making something that is entirely Pinker Tones. Don't miss out!

Just have fun with it...

Can't really say too many bad things about this, when you really look at what they're doing. True, they aren't the best in any of their "genres", and they rely heavily on electronic "instruments", but their goal seems to be to have fun with the music and really communicate their love of the medium. I think they did a pretty good job.

The Pinker Tones is the example of what the future has in store for us. Their blend of music styles is what i love the most. Try "Happy Everywhere" and "SEXYROBOT" This album is an improvement to their last.
