Even if you're a hardcore fan and feel like you need this CD for your collection to feel complete, I'd still recommend passing this one up. Emotionless MIDI arrangements aren't exactly a great tribute.

horrible

Good lord is this bad. I guess somebody was given a MIDI sequencer, a dozen Opeth mp3s, and a weekend to turn this around. It's inaccurately arranged, intensely annoying, and sets a new low even for string tributes. At least most of them have real strings!

As a fan of Opeth and classical music I blindly downloaded this cd. If you are into symphonical arrangements of heavy music (like metallica's S&M or Apocalyptica) this is nothing like it. Not in the first place because the music isn't translated properly (the notes are played incorrectly), but foremost because the music lacks any emotion that makes Opeth such a great band. At several points you're even wondering if its a cello/violin playing or a midi-computer!! Except for 'Harvest' this album is a waste of credits
