Hecq's goodbye ...
This is probably the most unlikely Hecq album Ben Lucas Boysen ever made ... and his best! He made the album shortly after his father (and sharpest critic, as well as his mentor!) died, and saw it as the end of an era and the beginning of a new one. "Night Falls" has got little to do with the usual IDM-albums Boysen makes; it's a very personal, dark ánd gripping collection of songs. Every time I listen to "I Am You", I can't help but getting tears in my eyes. Nothing wrong with that, cause that's what life is about. A wonderful & highly recommended album!!

Ben lucas boysen has reached a special point in his music making. This music is so heavy and sinister - not only in its mood but in its talent. Boysen is able to make powerful music mixing electronics and orchestral instrumentation, without sounding cheesily soundracky (see Deaf Center, Kattoo, ect). Dig this.
