great songs
The live songs in this collection sound like they are from such great live 60's albums as "Live at the Whiskey A-Go-Go" and "...And I Know You Want To Dance".

not really a Greatest Hits compilation for those who want one. Live versions of his greatest hits, so I suppose its not a complete fabrication, but certainly misleading. Not a bad album/cd, but might not be what you are expecting.
Being a Johnny Rivers fan and having heard these songs when they first came out, I really like this collection. Good sound and good memories
Sorry but these are not the original recordings. Unless you really know the original sound you could be fooled by these versions. Emusic should mark songs when they are re-recorded.
I grew up on Johnny Rivers and feel I know his music well. This collection doesn't sound like his original hits. Rather, they sound like remakes, albeit good ones. Still, when you know every pause and nuance in a classic hit the differences stand out pretty clearly.
I enjoyed every track. Very nice.
would have enjoyed the live songs more if he would have done extended versions. Listened to him live in Woodlands,Tx outdoors where Jerry Lee Lewis preceded him. And he blew Jerry away! Great entertainer!
