Hmmm...

That's funny that another reviewer said it reminds him of Phantom. To me Darling, Be Here immediately made me think of seeing Mamma Mia! in Vegas. Great song though! Great album. This song has elements of prog, rock, rock opera, etc... It has great replay value.
Nothing here hits with the passion of "I Heard it Sound" or "I Guess I'll Forget the Sound, I Guess" off the last album. It sounds too much like the photos on the right side of the cover and not enough like the photo on the left (or the photo of the debut). Classic sophomore slump.
My wife says it sounds like Phantom of the Opera, but it's meant as a compliment. With dramatic organs and driving guitars running up against each other and the communal vocals rising with a theatric fervor, "A Certain Feeling" soars and crashes with immense power. Sometimes songs get a bit stuck in one mode anda few of the shorter tracks seem half-baked, but as a whole it's a thrilling experience from a group that's making rock opera cool.
Ever since I first heard Bodies of Water's first album, I was hooked on their unique and vibrant style. This new album seems to take them in a different direction at first, but once you start to delve into the album, you hear that they've retained the best parts of their old style while merging it with something new. A fantastic album, particularly the songs "Gold, Tan, Peach and Grey", "Under the Pines" and "Water Here". I can't say enough good things about this group.
an amazing progression from their last album -this is exactly where i wanted to see them go. everything you loved about the previous album just got fuzzier.
