Definitely one of my top albums of 2008. Beautiful, complex, evocative lyrics and an absolutely lovely voice. You can't go wrong with this album!
A spectacular debut!
A wonderful collection of heartfelt emotive songs, it's kind of difficult to believe it is a self-funded debut, so assured is Flint's touch. Layered and complex, whilst also singalong-simple and beautiful, it's a proper old-fashioned LP, with a mood of its own, and a big, sad heart pumping on its sleeve. Highly, highly recommended.
