Nice Find!
Damn good songs, damn good performances, damn good recording. A couple of the songs border on southern-rock more than folk which is the focus of most the record. But even "Sock Monkey" as loud as it is, it pretty fun.

Grayson and the Stumpknockers have released one of the top independent records of the year. Known for live shows and songwriting, Capps and his crew of misfits bring the power of their live show to this record. The songwriting is as strong and rich as ever. "Arrowhead" being one of Capps's best songs to date. "Fear Fruit Bearing Tree," an incredible performance piece, has been recorded excellently for posterity, demonstrating that Capps is also a poet who ought to be seeking publication, if he ever gets off the stage for more than a week or two. Trina Shoemaker is at the controls, so the production of this CD is another one of supreme excellence. Rott 'N' Roll is an absolute must, download it, catch a show, buy another copy, catch another show, buy a copy from a local record store, catch another show, and get several copies as Xmas gifts. It's one of the best records of the year!! One can't own or distribute enough of Grayson Capps's work.
