Xs On Your Eyes

This is the +/- aesthetic: a twinkle of xylophone, the hum of organ, a hushed vocal. Nothing worth doing is worth doing big in their tiny, fragile universe, and Xs on Your Eyes continues their fine tradition of indie rock played gently, gently. They do manage to nudge the volume up for a few numbers — the inaccurately-titled "Subdued" for one — but mostly this is mannered and close-to-the-vest.
