Tracks 1, 3, and 5 are the perfect rainy day road music, and will probably find their way into soundtracking other parts of your life too. It's electronic, but intelligent enough to not be off-putting. Cool stuff.
After a brief vacation from the studio, the Midwest Product boys saddled up in the studio for this EP, the first for Ghostly’s digital-only imprint. A remix of “Swamp” from their World Series of Love EP treads lightly on Telefon Tel Aviv territory before going back into a more somber re-creation of the song that brings back elements of one of the group’s most beautiful offerings, “Duckpond.” The rest of the selections are exactly what you’d expect from the trio: pleasantly inoffensive pop songs with romantic melodies and nods in every direction to a synth pop era gone by. – Rob Theakston
