Moody Blues??
I'm really hearing Long Distance Voyager era Moody Blues (especially in the breathy style vocals and acousic guitar work). The Dodos come to mind as well. A solid 4.

Get ready because you will be hearing a lot more about- and from- these folks. Since I was introduced to them in Paste magazine some three years ago (and grabbed my attention with "Pills for Sara" from their first LP), the band has progressively gotten more and more impressive. Their insightful lyrics are a perfect match for the music: mesmerizing. On this LP they have branched out, production-wise... adding a little more muscle and depth to their songs. Their first two albums are fine productions. This surpasses both of them. IMO, best cuts are: "Take Away the Words" (getting some decent airplay now). "Beesting," the catchy "We'll Bring You Down," and the Beatlesque "You Don't Love Me Yet." Whole album worth the download.
