Nice sampling of material. I'm not real familiar with this group so I can't address what's not here. The sound quality is fine, there probably is higher quality elsewhere, you'd have to find it and pay for it (import) I'm sure. For the price, convenience and material, I would recommend this to anyone who likes psychedelic/garage rock from the 60's.
Great songs, but the sound quality is terrible. You can find better sounding 13th Floor Elevators elsewhere.
until single albums offered this and the other comps available here should give you most of what you need. i have been collecting music tagged as psychedelic for years and have garnered just about everything available made in the 60s-mainstream,undergroun- d,obscure and otherwise. The point of this blather is I have played all of this music for my wife (LilMissMojo) and in her opinion ,the Elevators were the only group worth their weight in hyperbole. Her exact words:"Now that is what I would call psychedelic music." Roky's dimension piercing vocals,the unsettling lyrics, the songwriting, the rock and roll and the sound of the jug bouncing off your mind all come together and demand a word like "psychedelic" be used to describe them.
Where is "Dust?"
...but this'll do for now. Classic psychedelic garage rock.
