This isn't an orchestra.

It's a synthesizer. The music sounds so fake to me; the brass section sounds just like my computer's midi brass. Don't get this, it will hurt your ears.

As the other reviewer observes, the quality of this orchestra recording is really questionable. I have listened (and still do) to the original soundtrack from the three movies a million times and this compares nothing to it; not only it doesnt sound great but the whole romance, the mood of adventure and the accompanying feeling of being immersed in the pirate action is missing to the hilt. A thoughtless and unfortunate reproduction of a musical masterpiece. Definitely a must-not-download.

And don't trust this download.

I had great hopes for this - after all some of Hans Zimmer's other soundtracks are (or were) available on this site, and in other instances (like the versions done by the City of Prague Philharmonic) the recreations quite closely match the sprit (if not the sound) of the original. Sadly, at least in my opinion, Global Stage Orchestra were unsuccessful in matching either spirit or sound. In fact, I strongly suspect that the only instrument used on this recording was some type of synthesizer, and to my ears it doesn't sound like an especially high-end one. I'm certainly not going to download this... but don't just take my word for it - listen to the samples and judge for yourself.
