It's earth shaking

I can't get enough of these guys. Start with Coney Island, then maybe Window, but you can hardly go wrong with any of these tracks. New album comes out June 1, 2010.

May be my best emusic find yet...

parabellum

Every song has hook, standouts for me include track #2, #6 and #11 although I always listen to the whole album through. After finding so much to love on the album I went over to Amazon and bought 3 copies of the cd to send to friends.

I like it.

Canadia

But I don't love it. Somewhat predictable, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Great harmonies

Grimey

Saw these guys open for Gaslight Anthem and liked them a lot. The album here is great too. The boys definitely know how to harmonize. Nothing groundbreaking, just good songs with good hooks, performed well. I come back to this pretty often in the listening rotation.

Good listen, but hardly earth shaking

I bought this album after falling head over heels in love with Coney Island. It is just about the perfect pop song; it's short, sweet, and absolutely infectious. After this, it remains perfectly enjoyable, but never quite lives up to that standard set by the opener. There's not much depth to the majority of these songs, and while none are bad, none really jump out at me either. It still makes for a pretty enjoyable listen though.

New This Week: The Men, Jenny Scheinman & More

By J. Edward Keyes, Editor-in-Chief

New ones from The Men, Jenny Scheinman and more this week. Let's get to it. The Men, Open Your Heart: Here it is. People, if you only download one record today, make sure this is it. Big, loud, roaring rock & roll that ricochets between scuzzy garage, roughed-up punk and lovely, laid-back country with equal aplomb. Needless to say, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Here's eMusic's Austin L. Ray with more: The album is divided roughly into three categories: rockers… more »
