Really good. A different sound, particularly of the concept of a trio, although somewhat reminiscent of Joe Henderson at the Village Vanguard. The bass playing particularly; although perhaps a cleaner version of Mingus in a way, the setting is so different that the effect opens up the ears. I heard a lot about these guys in the eighties and now I see why.
