Boo Hoo Hoo, crybaby cry!

Vogellied

It isn't the Distillers, whaaaaaa... It doesn't sound like the Distillers (a one trick pony of a band if fun at times) because IT ISN'T! DUH! Songs are rich, well crafted indi-pop, all 4 songs still show she has the chops and allow her to show off a range that doing nothing but screaming and talking low with the Distillers didn't. Great song writing, lots of energy. She grew up, too bad many of her fans didn't. So, being married, having a child, she isn't stuck singing about drinking on the streets, shocking, I know.. if you want the Distillers, download them, if you want their ex lead singer in a new band playing genuine music with other accomplished musicians, then download Spinnerette and don't let the negative reviews stop you, as of this writing 56 votes and they are stil showing 4 stars so the whiners are in the minority (if just very vocal about it everywhere).

Enjoy the Suckfest

EMUSIC-01F78BF4

I looked forward to this EP for such a long time, and it's dissapointing to see someone you had so much respect for play such half-assed songs. Better luck next time Brody. Valium Knights is the only redeeming song here

I dig Brody & the first Distiller albums, but this is more like Joan Jett than the latter. She looks great in the video, but I'm not sure if I like her singing. Sadly, punk legends don't die: they just sell out, making themselves irrelevant.

thanx eMusic! fresh tunes, not bad

for fans of the distillers, qotsa, etc, these tracks are worth a listen. maybe not the deepest most amazing stuff I've heard from the likes of dalle, bevilacqua, or johannes, but i've worn grooves in all their previous stuff so i'll take anything new that i can get! this ep just came out a few days ago, i'm glad emusic is on top of it and has them already (or i would have been forced to buy them somewhere else). more please!
