I keep coming back
to Carrie Biell. She's not refined, but frankly, I find her style captivating. She sings like she has a strange Southern variant accent, but it hooks me and pulls me in. She sounds genuine and aching. Slow and sultry like Lucinda Williams, but more my speed (even though it's the same). I can't explain it, but I DO recommend it.
