I am so glad I downloaded this before emusic realizes they made a mistake. This album is such a great diverse work of art; funk, jazz, blues, snd of course, soul! Awesome, truly awesome!

.... to both Truth & Soul Records / The Orchard and emusic for a really good free album. As others have said, the retro soul/funk sounds are well worth having, Bronx River Parkway and El Michels Affair were new to me, a great introduction to have found them this way, will be listening to more of them real soon.

I know Lee Fields' soul magic from his collaborations with Sharon Jones of Daptone label, and have been turned onto a few new groups on this one- especially the Latin stylings Bronx River Parkway.
