Now that's what I call mixtape!
A fine and diverse collection, a collection of Cambodia pop and trad. framed by the excellent and energetic Dengue Fever tracks. Now, where do I get to watch that documentary?

Highly recommend this - A great live band if you get the chance to see them. This is a soundtrack to a documentary about the Khymer music scene and includes the sixties source material to the Dengue Fever sound. The story of Sinn Sisamouth and Ros Sothea is a tragic one and needs to be told.
The backstory to this band is great: two brothers independently turning on to Cambodian "surf-rock" then tracking down this traditionally trained and astounding vocalist. Together they make this strange but addicting mix of retro, rock and Asian pop via the LA scene.
An excellent album. It brings me to the Far East.
