Inventive and Original - Excellent!

trailermusic

Mr. Coulais has composed that most elusive of soundtracks: his music provides a wonderful second voice to the fantastic visuals of the film, and the score on its own is highly enjoyable and meticulously produced. A refreshingly musical and melodic soundtrack that stands out from the usual language found in films today.

A delightful movie with intriguing music....it matches the movie perfectly.

reminds me of Danny Elfman

When my wife & I saw this movie in the theater, I think both of us assumed the music was by Danny Elfman. We later learned we were wrong, but that did not change how delightful this soundtrack is, or how well it fits this wonderful movie. I'm looking forward to seeing it again, but having the soundtrack is going to help in the interim.

Soothing and bouncy

...as contradictory as those traits may seem. This music stays with you and is infinitely charming.

If you like the early Elfman scores, or scores by Thomas Newman, you will love this!

Fantastical!!

Another magical soundtrack from Bruno Coulais of Winged Migration fame. Slightly Elfman with a sweeter charm. Check out Mice Circus (my girl's favorite) and Fantastic Garden, a perfect track for such a LSD like sequence...

They Say All Music Guide

Composed by Frenchman Bruno Coulais, the soundtrack to Coraline is a unique and atmospheric accompaniment to the Oscar-nominated stop-motion animation based on Neil Gaiman’s novel. Featuring 32 pieces of classical music and brief vocal contributions from actress Teri Hatcher (“Dreaming,” “Mechanical Lullaby”), it also includes the Children’s Choir of Nice, the Budapest Symphony Orchestra, and musicians Hélène Breschand and Christophe Grindel, alongside a new 28-second track by U.S. alternative rock duo They Might Be Giants (“Other Father Song”). – Jon O’Brien
