quality is worth the price

bradby

this is such a sublime album, i don't think it is unreasonable to pay full credit price for this album. stille antico create a beautiful sound on this collection, and i enjoy the way the antiphons provide transition. must everything be about extracting the lowest price? is that really the way to find the highest value? look at the airline industry- prices dropped and dropped, and now service has followed prices in a race to the bottom. god forbid that happen to the music world!

Just not Fair!

mbk101

Charging a credit for less than a minute track is just not fair, especially given the new policy. And the great pricing is the reason we joined to begin with.

Beautiful music!...BUT...

AMWinSF

This is sumptuously beautiful music for which the group won the 2009 Gramophone Award for the Early Music. However, 8 out of 15 of these tracks do not meet the MINIMUM industry standard, or 192 kbps, for quality digital music downloads. (I can't determine the bit rate of tracks 3, 6,12 and 15 -- all less than one minute long -- because the previews don't download to Windows Media Player.) Depending on your subscription plan, you might be better off downloading the album at Amazon.com (where downloading the entire album costs $0.47 per track), where the quality of downloads is consistently MUCH better. As for the number of credits eMusic is charging for this album, well...eMusic needs to reconsider charging as much as $0.50 for a track that is less than a minute long.

How 'bout the price?

tattaglia

C'mon, i thought new 12+ tracks will cost 12 credits....

Amazon MP3 - actually $8.99

MarcusMaximus

Let's get real. No legit music download service that I'm aware of consistently has lower prices than emusic. As for album pricing, some labels have 12-track album pricing and some don't.

Why 19 credits?

Edison421

I thought albums of more than 12 tracks would now be sold for 12 credits under our new rules. This item is listing a cost of 19 credits for 19 tracks. Is that just a glitch in the back-office software or is 19 the real price?
