hard rock? KabukiEyebrow might be either hard of hearing or talking about something else. this is a sweet album. happy, groovy, consistent. one of the best om albums yet!

It's Lounge!
This is definitely lounge music. Not sure what the other reviewer was reviewing. Maybe a different album, or an emusic mistake at one time. But this is typical Om output. Good through and through.
Lounge?
I'm a long-time fan and collector of the Om Lounge series, most of which continues to occupy my iPod chill & lounge mixes--especially the earlier collections. Some of these tracks are right on the mark, while a few do not fit the Om Lounge sound (though I recognize that later releases in this series often dropped the chill in favor of variety). Points in case: "Someday" features a monotonous thump-thump rhythm track; "You Already Know" is a nice, acoustic-backed vocal, but doesn't fit here (compare with "The Season [SwagRemix]" from "Om Lounge" # 4, for example); similarly, the shoe-gazing "Dark in the Light" noodles its way through vague ambiance. Nonetheless, most of the other tracks, while not up to the standard of earlier collections, are adequate. Maybe I'm missing something, because I cannot bring myself to download some of the tracks in this collection based on the samples offered here.
