This is crammed fit to burst with stylistic flowers. But it remains dramatically coherent and very satisfying music. Sort of a multi-dimensional joy ride. Somehow never self indulgent though. A big mural of american music, from jazz of course, the modern classical ecclectics to movie music, lounge and on an on.
