Sprightly bohemian folk-pop
Despite the Ramones-like possibilities of lyrics that deal with topics like glue sniffing and a tune whose title translates roughly as "you're full of shit", Anael Miller's music touches gently and mostly optimistically on love and life and teen angst generally. This very talented and articulate young artist stands in the great French chansonnier tradition, with superb lyrics that just get better and better with each listening. My favorites are the title track "Silence", the deft love song "Si t'es d'accord", and the quite irresistible "Lila".
