although I feel this is not her strongest album or performance it still beats hands down most of the other female so called singers out there who quite honestly cant' hold a tune in a barrel as many of their live performances show. Particularly goo "You and Frank Sinatra" and "Old Soul"
We've seen Thea Gilmore live quite a few times and her voice is far superior live than on her studio CDs and we've long awaited a live CD. This is a great album but it's a shame she didn't include songs that really highlight her voice such as "Holding your Hand", "Dance in New York", "Slow Journey" (the first one). If you're new to Thea, start with "Rules for Jokers" or "Avalanche" and go see her live because you won't be disappointed.
