growns on ya

did not know what to think at 1st. but the more i listen to it, the better it gets. Track 7 (hips) is the s**t. tracks 1,2,8 are good also. Not a classic Wu-Tang style album. Track 7 justifies purchasing the whole album.

disagreement

hindsightufuk

best thing about music is the arguments you can have. I couldnt disagree more with the other reviewer, i thought it all sounded generic, nothing new here at all. If i cared enough i'd check out the production credits cos the beats are weak. The remixes at the end are horrible. Another lame addition to the constantly deteriorating Wu Tang discography. 1

This album is a mix of really good tracks that match U-God's style, and others that simply make you wanna skip them and never go back due to fear that even garbage may grow on you. This is a 3.5 album, that doesn't really deserves a full download, but it does have a few gems. Quick track ratings (out of 5), *best trax, the numbers I skip are the tracks I completely dislike, so I ain't gonna bother: 1) 5* (love it, the hook hurts it a little, Ghostface gives it steroids) 2) 2 (poor hook, and generic production) 3) 5* (instant classic) 5) 4 (great track but feels generic) 6) 5* (so addictive) 8) 5 (Meth blazes it with iron lungs) 9) 5* (instant classic; U-God at his best) 11) 4.5 (should be the intro track) 12) 5* (if you like trip-hop/electronica, break dance, and DJ' remixes--gotta get that) 13) 3 (almost but not quite)

Icon: Wu-Tang Clan

By Hua Hsu

About halfway through their game-changing 1993 debut, Enter the Wu-Tang, a radio interviewer asks Method Man, Raekwon and Ghostface about the Clan's "ultimate goal." They jockey for the privilege to answer. "Can I say this one?" Rae thirstily begs, before Meth offers a simple "domination." "This is longevity right here," Ghost cuts in. "We gon 'keep it raw." Mission: accomplished. From their Staten Island-as-Shaolin self-mythologizing to their inventive business model - separate solo… more »
