Buckley really reaches for an original, ambitious vocal style but his control is just not good enough here. His pitch is all over the place, he over-sings, and his technical problems made this difficult for me to enjoy; I frequently found myself cringing. His guitar work is excellent though.
It makes me want to cry. As naked and honest a recording you will have the good fortune to ever hear. If only we could have all been there. Gone way too soon, sad for what we missed. Happy for what we did not.
