Well worth it...
Well worth the price, considering how much music is here. These are not 3-minute pop "songs", but extended improvs/compositions of the highest caliber of artistry. Highest recommendation.

Oh yes, buying the imported Japanese pressing of this monster was a great moment. Were my 24.99 wasted? Not by a longshot. Some of us remember the value of the music outweighs the price one pays for it. The guitars are on Fire, Sonny Fortune blows sax and flute, the bottom end grooves and Miles does what Miles does. So if spending some money gets in the way of listening to life altering sounds, my sympathy.
OK, I thought the reviews were supposed to be about the music, not the price. This album is absolutely brilliant. Pete Cosey's guitar pyrotechnics are both exhilirating and illuminating. Knowing that Miles was a huge Hendrix fan, this music I think provides a clue as to what a Hendrix/Miles collaboration might have been like. Rock, funk, and jazz are all combined in music that really shows what the potential fusion had, before it degenerated into smooth jazz. If you like great guitar playing, if you like music that challenges your preconceptions, then you need to get this album, regardless of whether you get it here, another site, your local CD shop, or can find a used LP somewhere (which is how I got it 25 years ago) As for all the clowns who are blasting the price, why don't you go count the albums you are downloading that have more than 12 tracks on them, for only 12 downloads?
Is dead.
See ya, e-music.
