Gospel, not Dylan
Other than the goofy-cute Dylan/Staples repartee, this album is just a gospel album, and the Dylan-ness of the lyrics is lost. The originals have an intimacy to them that is gone here. As a straight gospel album, this is mediocre.

just not so blantantly obvious until he started tackling the Gospel. These covers are ok, but I prefer the original Dylan versions. Especially his "Saved" album. You wanna see something even better? Check out Dylan live on Youtube performing "Saved". The audio and video transfers are not the greatest, but it will set you on fire nonetheless!
