This has been yet another paradoxical case of Mike Kinsella's musical genius and lyrical failure. Is "fuck" really necessary in every single song? Is he not tired of sounding like Chris Carrabba? With that aside, I have yet to find any guitarist that thinks like this guy in the entire world. The textures, the rhythms, the tunings... It's as if Nick Drake were growing up in the 90s.
