Ramones-core at its best!
Huntingtons, best known for their love of all things Ramones and defunct since 2005, have reunited for a purpose. The wife of the band's long-time drummer, Mikee, has stage 3 brain cancer. All proceeds from the sale of this album go directly towards her treatment.Sonically, Punk Sounds feels a lot like a brand new version of the band's much beloved 1999 album, Get Lost, which is not surprising since much of it is comprised of unfinished or unreleased material recorded during those sessions. A 1998 recording of the Ramones classic number, Babysitter, is included as well, making this the first time the song has been available in digital format. Ending the album are two brand new numbers which serve to tell the story of where the band is at today. Both tracks are excellent returns to the band's classic late 90's sound. Punk Sounds is an excellent, well rounded album that never disappoints. It is well worth your time and attention.
