Known for its shoegazey brand of experimentalism, Nudge is the kind of band whose atmospherically rich sounds give each of their tracks a different feel. But the trio's fourth full-length, As Good As Gone, does not sacrifice its cohesion in the name of diversity. Listening to this multilayered album is the kind of challenge that yields considerable pleasure rather than fatigue. "Two Hands," which features hypnotizing vocals by Honey Owens, is the Portishead-evoking album standout.
