My wife was there in the Catskills

thefirstmadmykal

My wife worked in another of the Catskill resorts at the time of "Dirty Dancing". Boys and girls always presented management with a challenge. For a week she bunked with the band. No, I don't want to know....

The soundtrack was perfect for this movie

ani_says_so

I have watched the movie more times than I'd like to admit and the music plays a big part in why I love this movie so much. I downloaded the whole album and there isn't one song on here that I don't enjoy.

In Memory of Patrick Swayze

Love the movie, love the music. "Love is Strange" is a great favorite of mine.

"cry to me" was the best song in the whole movie, and it's not on the soundtrack. that's a shame. but "hungry eyes" is a great guilty pleasure, and "stay" is a great song.

They Say All Media Guide

This album includes songs from the hit movie — both old favorites (Bruce Channel’s “Hey Baby”; “In the Still of the Night,” from The Five Satins; and Mickey & Sylvia’s “Love Is Strange”) and recent ones (Eric Carmen’s “Hungry Eyes” and “[I've Had] The Time of My Life,” performed by Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes). “She’s Like the Wind” is performed by Patrick Swayze, who played the male lead in the movie. While this may not be “the time of your life,” as the album cover advertises, it is a fun collection. – Tavia Hobart
