My vinyl LP only has 7 tracks

I appreciated gfkopy's observation. I think it's likely that the last 7 tracks add little to this MP3 album, just a waste of 7 downloads.

Agree with gfkopy

Buy the 7 tracks for $3.50 and don't bother with the rest. The first 7 are well worth it for fans of Alan Parson's work.

5 Stars... with an asterisk

I've owned this album on cassette for years, and it has always been one of my favorites. I was delighted to find it available to download. Tracks 1 through 7 duplicate the cassette, and I can wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone. Beware of tracks 8 through 14, though. I strongly advise leaving them where they lie. I found them to be the worst kind of "filler" and a complete waste of perfectly good downloads. You may disagree, but at least listen before you leap.

A sleep in the Parsons catalog

cowboomie

This is one of Alan Parsons Project's albums that you don't find in many collections. Too bad, it is a great album. The opening cut is one of TAPP's most dynamically free-ranging explorations and one of their most proggy songs. The whole album works well together and makes a great addition to the collection of TAPP fans. Take the time to get to know this one if you like Alan Parsons.

Inspired by architect Antonio Gaudi, the Alan Parsons Project’s Gaudi from 1987 has a leaner, edgier sound that is best represented on “Standing on Higher Ground.” The last track, “Paseo de Graciad,” is a finely orchestrated instrumental done exquisitely in full Parsons style. The usual lineup of Miles, Woolfson, Zakatek, and Rainbow share the singing duties, with Geoff Barradale taking over on “Standing on Higher Ground.” – Mike DeGagne
