Decent as they were, the three Violet Indiana albums that Robin Guthrie made with Siobhan De Maré between 2001 and 2004 fell foul of an inevitable comparison. For "Violet Indiana," some read "Cocteau Twins II", and poor De Maré had the toughest of acts to follow in chanteuse extraordinaire, Liz Fraser.

Can't really go wrong with any thing Robin Guthrie does. Great music to listen to before you drift off to sleep.

Once again, Robin has created a beautiful, fantasy-ride via his guitar. This has just the right blend pathos and ambience to stir the listener's imagination. The "carousel" could very well be a metaphor for your own personal nirvana. A very relaxing and colorful experience to say the least. This is another 5-star effort from Mr. Guthrie, what more can I say?
