Lost Wisdom parts one and two
Play them back to back in order. Fantastic. (Part one is on the “Lost Wisdom” album.)

Kudos to the reviewer who described it as "Industrial Folk". That's as good of a brief description as you can get. Alternates between dreamy and loud while propping up lyrics that are, while not "bad", definitely the weak point of the album. Definitely worth a listen.
I guess I would call this "industrial folk". Sounds something like Boris meets Bon Iver. The lyrics are a little melodramatic but sonically this is something to be experienced. Check out "Wind's Dark Poem" and "Between Two Mysteries".
As in a journey. Really interesting music, you're always trying to make out what's happening through a musical dream haze. Definitely leaves you with a FEELING when the dust clears...
can people just stop using "haunting" to describe beautifully dark albums. It's how I know you read more than you listen. This album is good. It's paced. "Through the Trees" makes me stop what I'm doing and listen every time which is what the album is at it's best moments. At it's worst, it's a little boring and self absorbed... not that I know anything about that....
Why, Phil, why?
there's so much whimsy on here, it could've been recorded by a band of sprites, faeries and nymphs. so many sounds. the already mentioned Badalmenti twin peaks odes, the usual haunting Elverum nature worshiping folksiness and something that sounds like black metal with a playful pop flourish. and it all blends together effortlessly. quite brilliant. and like the last reviewer stated, very worthy of a close listen. preferably in the embrace of headphones.
beautiful, haunting, profound, and engrossing. rewards a close listening.
Beautiful droney and fuzzy pop/rock that moves from noisy to soothing. Wind's Poem repeatedly references and draws upon Angelo Badalamenti's Soundtrack for Twin Peaks. Really nice.
