dub step spaces....

This album is great. Flunk with dub step influences coming through towards the later end of the album. The force is strong with these ones.....

A Consistent Effort

Calvinist

I must disagree with the previous reviewer: to my ears, the album is solid if not revolutionary. The tracks may not always reach the heights of my favorite Flunk songs (essentially all of "Morning Star") or yours, but it remains a successful effort and does ultimately outshine some of their prior work (e.g., much of "Personal Stereo"). I'm coming to this album almost a year after its debut (coverage of the release in the online music press seems nonexistent), but I am happy to be hearing it at last. As a final note, the tone seems very slightly darker than some of Flunk's prior releases. I'll leave it to you to decide whether that adds or detracts from this worthy album from an under-appreciated band (5/17/10). EDIT: A few weeks in, and this album continues to grow on me. If 5 stars means "I love it," then I suppose have to give it an extra one now. While imperfect, the record has held my attention and earned a little love (6/8/10).

eh..

I'm not a fan of this album. I guess they had a lot to live up to with their amazing previous albums. There are some good tracks here and there on this cd, but it was kind of a let down.
