Progress by Gavin Mart + The Saturday Vandals
Saw Gavin play a live solo accoutic set at Saninista! in Leeds in early 2011 supporting Huddersfield's Maia. It was a subdued and introverted performance but his voice stayed with me. He sings with a sharp, clear, haunting and understated melancholy; think Sting but deeper or Ray Lamontagne but airier.
