Still rockin'
Totally appropriate that this album is titled "Message to Garcia" the famous book about Col. Rowan's quest to deliver a message through hostile Cuba to Garcia. "Sunset on Dateland" was not the sunset for this band. With collaborations with Neko Case during the past few years, Ms. Flotard and company stayed the course and delivered an awesome new disc. The sound of this recording is huge and is just the way to enjoy Visqueen. They crunch and they know how to back off as well. Love the cello and the horns this time around. Take a listen to Jimmy vs James. One of my favorite tracks on this release.
