Heavier Than Marillion
Sylvan are indeed very like Hogarth Marillion but remain different enough to stand out on their own. This release has great melodies but, I feel, a harder/heavier edge than modern Marillion to which they've added hints of Radiohead with the production values of Steve Wilson's Porcupine Tree. Fans of all three of these acts should enjoy what Sylvan have to offer. As well as this release, you should look out for Presets, Sylvan's last release, which is even better.
