Semi-Golden Sophomore
This was a great follow-up to Deadringer, and for me, has as many classics on as the first. If for some reason you don't want to splash for the whole thing, I'd say grab Since We Last Spoke, Someone's Second Kiss, Clean Living, and One Day. They're superb in their own ways. The first is the guitar/piano/beats fuzzy funk combo we know and love, The second's on the vibe of the Amazing Here's What's Left, Clean Living's a soulful cross between the former two, uptempo yet with that melancholy tinge to it; a Nina Simone-esque vocal tops it off. Lastly, One Day's a head nodder with a hand clap driven beat, an old piano and a soulful vocal.
