More Loney greatness
I don't think Loney, Dear is capable of writing a bad song - these are a bit 'rawer' than those on Loney noir and Dear John but none the worse for that. Downloads well spent.

but the songs sound like they're all re-recorded, which is a nice bonus! I just got the lovely colour-vinyl version from Polyvinyl, and it's exciting listening to all of these songs sounding slightly different from what I'm used to. Superb album, superb band. In fact, all five albums of his are excellent- he can do no wrong!
This is one of his self-released albums, originally from 2004. So it predates the "Loney, Noir" (2005), "Sologne" (2006), and "Dear John" (2009) material.
I have Loney,Noir and was very much taken with it and this album proves what a great artist and great talent Emil Svanangen is. Comparable to no-one (although could be a Swedish Bon Iver with bit more joie de vivre!) his sounds and singing are gentle yet there is a nice edge to everything.
