Still the Best
In this musical genre these guys still rule. With only 4 full releases in 12 years, they haven't sold out. Just on top of their game. Lots of fun for the head! Check out the DVD too.

Every track is good with much variety and no boring parts. Shpongle music is Shpongle! It is at the same time spacey with good rythm and beautifully melodic. I have listen from their first album to this one, and every album they made is great, no exception.
Probably not their best effort, but still very, very good. They've toned down the relentless inventiveness they had in "Nothing lasts...", so the tracks are longer, and the album feels more settled and less wild. There is still plenty of imagination and multi-layered depth here, though you may need a few listens to soak it all in. I agree with the previous reviewer that the vocal samples and lyrics aren't breathtaking, but I think they're used not as focal points like in a pop song, but just as one more element in a diverse pallette, and I think they work quite well in this way. The only part of the album I don't like is the first 1:20 of track 2: a jarring frenzy of cold, synthetic ugliness that belongs more an an Aphex Twin CD. Otherwise, it's all as pleasing a feast for your ears as you'd expect from a Shpongle CD.
These guys are great musicians, but their lyrics are tedious. Pointless pot smoker talk in 'invisible man' made a great track just alright, followed by cliche descriptions of intoxication as 'reality is ripping at the seams' in 'no turn un-stoned'. 'You are me and I am you' sounds sort of cute, but gets annoying fast. The female singer is OK, but nothing special. My favourite is 'Nothing Is Something Worth Doing'.
I'm already a big fan of this special music, but this new album is mindblowing!A full head-to-bottom listening is recommended.
Deeply textured... gets into your brain then takes you away. Thank you!
Ooops, they did it again. Nothing "revolutionary", but that's the power of this recording. As usual - perfect production, tracks so rich and sophisticated (in a good meaning), that put into shame lots of "electronic artists" nowadays.
This latest release fits in well to the Shpongle library. It is completely new material, building upon all that is great about Shpongle. They have not "re-invented" themselves, rather have stuck to their phenominal roots. Another classic indeed, and thanks to Emusic for the quick release of this album.
Great album. Download all tracks. This is seriously trippy music.
More superb fare from Posford and Ram...
