Virgin Islands, The Age of Anxiety

Mike Jaworski, formerly of power punk group The Cops, is back and his new band sounds louder and more energetic than ever. Virgin Islands is all bombast and snarl and fierce guitar on their debut EP, which was put out by Jaworski's Seattle indie label Mt. Fiji. Title track "The Age of Anxiety" evokes all of the jittery, jumpy angst that you might expect, and it never sounded so cathartic.
